The Ask

I collaborated with LUNA Astrology to design a fully dynamic astrology report that could generate personalized PDFs based on a user’s birth data, including their birth date, time, and location. The challenge was to create a system flexible enough to dynamically create thousands of unique report combinations, while still feeling highly crafted, immersive, and editorial. The experience needed to balance structure and scalability with the emotional, personal nature of astrology—transforming raw data into something that felt tactile, beautiful, and deeply individual.

The Solution

I designed a visual system that allowed fully customized reports to be generated from user inputs while maintaining an editorial look and feel. The project began with collaborative moodboarding to evolve Luna Astrology’s existing brand into something more editorial, atmospheric, and expansive.

From there, I developed a scalable design system built around reusable components, layouts, textures, and gradients, that could be dynamically created based on customer data. The front cover included 144 unique gradient combinations generated from different sun and moon sign pairings, creating a highly personalized report for each reader. Additional gradient and color systems were created to visually communicate shifts in energy and guide readers through the report experience.

The designs combined rich textures, layered gradients, and refined typography to create a tactile, paper-like quality that made the digital experience feel touchable and deeply personal. Careful attention was paid to color systems, hierarchy, and page structure so the reports could support large amounts of dynamically generated content while still feeling intentional and easy to read. The final result was a fully systematized design framework capable of generating unique, data-driven astrology reports at scale without sacrificing visual depth or emotional resonance.
